Dear Members

We have received a few emails from club chairperson’s regarding not receiving emails for a few months including the AGM notices. Please note that clubs are expected to affiliate by the end of February annually, during that process, an affiliation form is completed with the information where all correspondence needs to forwarded to. The database is updated annually, using that information. We would like to request that clubs ensure that the information supplied is correct and communicate internally for communication from KZNA to be shared as we cannot add multiple email addresses from clubs.

1.             ADMINISTRATION

1. KZNA 2025 RACE APPLICATIONS 

1.1.1     Race Application due by the 1^st of July 2024 before 12:00pm.

1.1.2     We will not be held liable for any applications emailed to different email addresses other than admin@kznathletics.co.za andmary@kznathletics.co.za.

1.1.3     Clubs who work with external race organisers/entities must ensure that the club handles all the paperwork as we will not be accepting applications that are not received from affiliated clubs in good standing.  

1.1.4     Clubs who have emailed their route measurement certificates in 2023/2024 do not need to email another copy to the office if there have not been any changes to the route but should there have been changes, please may the updated certificate be emailed along with the application.

2.1.1        KZNA League 9 – Liv Village Durban, scheduled for the 27^th April 2024 has been postponed to 20 July 2024.

2.1.2        KZNA League 4 – Kwazuma Kunyiyani (Thengani), scheduled for the 30 March 2024 has been postponed to 20 July 2024

3. UPCOMING KZNA EVENTS 

3.1.1     KZN YOUTH RUN 10km & 5km – Will be taking place on Saturday, 8 June 2024 (Late entries Thursday and Friday at Kings Park Stadium)

3.1.2     KZN 5KM & 1 MILE CHAMPIONSHIPS – will be taking place on Sunday, 21 July 2024.

3. CANCELLED/POSTPONED EVENTS

3.2.1     Chillie Lifestyle Race has changed race date to 16 June 2024 and will now START AT 07:00 not 06:00.

3.2.2     Zinakekele Race date has changed to 14 July 2024.

3.2.3     KwaMashu Challenge had been cancelled.
