The process for applications to the Elite Athlete Development Programme is open. This is for the period 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024. The process and criteria are specified in the attached Criteria document, please read carefully and follow the instructions specified.

Applications must be screened by the relevant federation through the various commissions and coaches, endorsed and signed by the federation leadership. Applications are to be aligned to the strategic vision of a winning province with special consideration to transformation, equity (women) and inclusivity (disabilities) as well as key focus in athletes earmarked for the 2024/2028 Olympic cycles, Commonwealth Games, Major Continental and International Championships across all codes etc. Please also consider athletes excelling in school sport / age-group competitions.
