Anyone aspiring to further improve their coaching skills or who are looking at establishing a coaching career needs to understand and apply the basics first. Once the basics are understood and your athletes become more specialized, more in-depth knowledge is required to guide the coach and athlete. One of the first steps on this journey is to get certified or qualified as a recognized coach. The ASA Level 1 course affords a potential coach the opportunity to kick-start his or formal coaching career. Below are the manuals used for certification. KZNA, in conjunction with ASA, will host coaching workshops from time to time where coaches can officially qualify as a ASA Level 1 coach. Details of such workshops will be published on the KZNA website.
